Web apps, internal tools, and things that move.
I also direct films, and twenty years in production taught me how complicated projects get finished: scope it, sequence it, and make the tools work on the first take. I bring that to every build, from the data model to the deployed product.
Open to remote contract builds, agency subcontract work, and QA / test automation.
Selected projects
The Rate Guide
A platform for freelance film and video crew. A day-rate calculator works backwards from the take-home pay you want, fifteen guides cover market rates by role, and a quote builder and contract builder turn the rate into a client-ready estimate and agreement. I built and run it alone.
Next.js 16 React 19 TypeScript Supabase / Postgres Vercel Playwright Vitest
Grain and Thunder
The site for my production company. It has case studies, press pages, and a screening page for an original series pilot, with signup and feedback forms backed by serverless Postgres. I designed and built it.
Astro JavaScript Neon Postgres Vercel Responsive design
The character on this site's homepage. Layered artwork, eyes that track your cursor, random blinking, and a tongue that rotates and stretches to hit a moving target. It runs on vanilla JavaScript with no dependencies. Move your cursor over it.
JavaScript CSS Interaction design Animation
How I work
I build with AI coding tools. I model the domain, decide what the system should refuse to do, and check the result with unit tests, route tests, and end-to-end tests that run against the deployed site.
On the Rate Guide, one module holds the market rates and the API validates every input against it, so the guides and the calculator cannot drift apart.
